1. Jacquard fabric

Jacquard fabric is by far the most complex fabric. It features an intricately curved inverted weave and often uses different colored yarns.

The apparel industry needs to take great care of these fabrics because they are slow to produce and expensive to produce. Here are three main types of jacquard weaves.

2.

Tapestry: Machine-woven tapestries often imitate the flat appearance, tight texture, staggered texture, and different colored yarns used in the weft direction of handmade tapestries to create the appearance of the fabric.

Brocade: The details of the high and low weaves form an image, and the surface of the fabric is very similar to embroidery. Sometimes, a large amount of metal wire yarn is also used in the production of the fabric.

Damask: Usually one or a few limited colors are used, and the image is formed by a combination of satin and plain ribbed weaves. Brocade often uses a large amount of fine denier yarn, and its purpose is to weave a shiny image on the fabric. The image displayed on the fabric is mostly floral patterns, but stripes are sometimes used on some shiny brocade fabrics.

3.

Tapestry

A representative of woven products.

Brocade

The surface details of brocade are very similar to embroidery. But it is heavier than brocade and lighter than tapestry, of course, there are some individual cases.

Damask

Damask is one of the typical representatives of fabrics with a glossy surface.

4. Advantages

• Beautiful woven patterns are a necessary condition for simple styles, which means that its processing process will reduce some

complex sewing processes.

• The fabric itself is the design highlight, so clothing design

is often secondary.

• The base of jacquard fabric is strong, which supports the sewing needs of the fabric very well.

Disadvantages

• Improper cutting can make the fabric weak, and sometimes the seams will even slip.

• Unless it is a tapestry weave with a tight texture, other fabrics are not wear-resistant, especially the satin weave parts.

• Expensive.

• The seams are difficult to match and coordinate.
