Classification based on variety characteristics
Generally, jacquard fabrics are mostly used for indoor decoration such as bed sheets, tablecloths, curtains, etc.; jacquard poplin, jacquard linen, and jacquard yarn are mostly used for women's clothing.
Classification based on pattern
Big jacquard: Big jacquard fabrics, also known as big pattern fabrics, are large patterned fabrics woven with jacquard machines. The number of warp yarns in the complete patterned fabric ranges from a few hundred to thousands. Big jacquards are mostly based on one kind of fabric (ground fabric), and another or several different fabrics are used to show patterns on it, such as plain ground and satin flowers. Sometimes, warp and weft yarns of different colors can be used to make the fabric present a large colorful pattern. Different fiber types, yarn counts, and different warp and weft densities can also be used to make jacquard fabrics of various styles. Large jacquard patterns include flowers, dragons and phoenixes, animals, landscapes, figures, etc. There are single flowers, 2 flowers, 4 flowers or more of the same pattern in the whole width of the fabric. It is woven by jacquard machine. The number of warp yarn cycles ranges from hundreds to more than a thousand. The pattern is large and exquisite, with distinct color levels and a strong three-dimensional sense.
Dobby: Dobby weave is a kind of weave structure of woven fabric. It is mostly used for thin fabrics. It has a tight and delicate appearance and the pattern is not very prominent. Dobby weave is a weave that uses a multi-arm loom to form various small patterns on the surface of the fabric through the changes of two or more fabric structures. For example, various small pattern structures of the same color or different color as the ground structure are arranged on a plain or twill ground. The small pattern is a relatively concentrated weave point or warp and weft floating line. The pattern types include linear, striped, scattered pattern, etc. The dobby weave fabric has a tight and delicate appearance, and the pattern is not very prominent or exaggerated. It is mostly used for thin fabrics and is increasingly widely used.
Classification by pattern
Single-color jacquard is jacquard dyed fabric: the jacquard grey fabric is woven on a jacquard loom first and then dyed and finished, and the finished fabric is solid color.
Multicolor jacquard is color-dyed jacquard fabric: the yarn is first dyed and then woven on a jacquard loom, and finally finished, so the color-dyed jacquard fabric has more than two colors, the fabric is rich in color, not monotonous, the pattern has a strong three-dimensional sense, and the grade is higher.
